Arlington School District is hiring for a full-time School Counselor. Master's Degree or
higher degree (required) with a major in one or more of the following areas: Counseling,
Community Health, and or Psychology.
Full-Time School Counselor
Salary Range $65,697 - $87,698
Includes Benefits
Will perform duties of school counselor and intervention/prevention person for the District.
Must hold or be able to get a TSPC license.
• Ability to effectively work and communicate with students, parents, and school personnel from diverse cultures or backgrounds.
• Collaborate with staff, families, and community partners.
• Maintain integrity of confidential information relating to students, staff, or district patrons.
• Participate in MTSS/intervention systems.
• Ability to work harmoniously with others.
• Support academic, career, and social/emotional development for all students.
• Provide orientation and support to new students and families, as well as students newly identified as in need of specific plans (i.e., Individual Education Plan (IEP) and 504).
• Provide a leadership role in the development and implementation of school wide, class, and individual behavior and academic programs. Support School improvement efforts.
• Serve on school leadership and student support teams.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
